Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. ~ Hebrews 13:8
December 15, 2017
An unknown poet wrote: 'A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life. A bitter word may hate instill; a brutal word may smite and kill. A gracious word may smooth the way; a joyous word may light the day. A timely word may lessen stress; a loving word may heal and bless.'
These are wise words. Words are strong in every area of our lives. This season of Christmas has so many wonderful words for us to share. "For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." Luke 2:11. Our students have had many opportunities to share the words of the Christmas story. Last Sunday afternoon while caroling was a great one and all of them will have the opportunity to share those words this Sunday afternoon at our Christmas program. Many of them are memorizing the words of Luke 2 and I sincerely hope that all of you are using this time of year to share these special words with those you know and love as well as those you don't know. This is Good News! Share it!
We are all looking forward to our Christmas luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 21. If your child is not going to be at school on Thursday for the luncheon, please let their teacher know this week. That will help greatly with planning. But, just a heads up, the Chapel that morning at 11:15 will have some special music by our Kindergarten, First, and Second graders. These children are in my music classes and they will be performing with the various instruments we use in class. It is always a fun worship time for all of our students.
Since we will not be sending out a Prowling About next week, I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you the very merriest of Christmases and a blessed New Year! See you all on January 8!
