Education Philosophy

At Our Redeemer, education is not just about imparting knowledge but also about nurturing the hearts, minds, and spirits of our students. At our private Christian elementary school, we are committed to providing a holistic and Christ-centered education that prepares children for a purposeful and fulfilling life. Our education philosophy is summarized in three overarching tenets: Academically Focused, Joy Filled and Spiritually Rich. These tenets represent the following:

Bible-based Christian Foundation:
Our education philosophy is firmly grounded in Christian principles and values. We believe that every child is uniquely created in the image of God, and as such, they deserve to be treated with love, respect, and dignity. We strive to instill in our students a deep understanding of God’s love and grace, fostering a strong spiritual foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

Love of Learning:
We are committed to academic excellence and believe that God has gifted each child with unique talents and abilities. Our dedicated and qualified teachers create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach their full potential. We maintain high academic standards while nurturing a love for learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in our students.

Character Development:
Character development is a core aspect of our education philosophy. We believe in the importance of teaching moral values such as integrity, responsibility, honesty, compassion, humility, and empathy. We present these concepts through a program we call “Wildcat Wills.”  This phrase was adopted to symbolize our character building program because the closing of our leadership building assembly, we always say, “Who will have integrity? Wildcats will!” Through daily interactions and modeling by our teachers, students learn to apply the “Wildcat Wills” in their lives, becoming responsible and respectful individuals who positively impact their communities.

Individualized Learning:
Recognizing that each child is unique, we embrace a student-centered approach to education. Our teachers take the time to understand the strengths and challenges of each student, tailoring their instructional methods to meet individual needs. This approach fosters a positive and supportive learning environment, allowing students to progress at their own pace.

Integrated Faith and Learning:
At Our Redeemer, we believe that faith should permeate all aspects of education. We seamlessly integrate biblical principles into our curriculum, enabling students to see the relevance of their faith in every subject. This integration helps our students develop a biblical worldview and prepares them to engage with the world with wisdom, discernment, and compassion.

Community and Service
Our education philosophy emphasizes the importance of community and service. We encourage students to participate in activities that promote teamwork, cooperation, and a sense of belonging. Engaging in service projects and outreach activities helps students develop a heart for others and instills in them a sense of responsibility to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Partnership with Parents
We believe that education is a partnership between the school and parents. Children will be infinitely more successful with their parents’ commitment to supporting their education. We actively involve parents in their child’s education journey, fostering open communication and collaboration. This partnership ensures that we work together to provide the best possible support and guidance for each student.

Join us on this exciting educational journey where we aim to inspire young minds, ignite faith, and empower students to become compassionate leaders of tomorrow. Together, we strive to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students and the world around us.
