AnnouncementsVictor Soberanis

We received the sweetest graduation announcement from one of our former students! Thank you so much for this special touch, Victor, we wish you all the best at Columbia:

It is with great joy that I announce I will be joining Columbia University’s class of 2029 with a full-ride scholarship!

I wanted to express my gratitude for Our Redeemer for providing me with the strong foundation that has shaped me into the young adult that I am today.

Since Kindergarten, Our Redeemer provided me with a nurturing environment that allowed me to feel at home. Through all of the school events, dances, and classroom activities, I became tightly knit with my classmates and the school community, which created beautiful childhood memories that I cherish everyday.

I am extremely thankful for all of my teachers — Mrs. Jean & Jessica Bangert, Mrs. Tholen, Mrs. JoAnna Pugh, and Mrs. Miller — who provided me with such a fulfilling education that inspired my young mind to always strive for knowledge and excellence. I never fail to forget Mr. and Mrs. Frieling, who made sure I was always equipped with books and sports to keep me busy, or Pastor McGuire and Mr. Shewmaker who occupied me with Latin and music. In all respects, Our Redeemer provided me with a well-rounded education.

I am also forever grateful for all of the financial assistance and support that the ORLCS administration provided me, which made my education possible.

It is with all the hard-work, determination, and perseverance—values that Our Redeemer instilled in me—that I was able to achieve such accomplishments. I will always hold Our Redeemer close to my heart and I will take these strong values and fond memories with me as I face the next milestone in my life.

Lastly, I cannot forget to thank Mrs. Blackwood for hosting so many events and school dances that made my experience truly unforgettable.

Thank you to Our Redeemer.

Sincerely,

Victor Soberanis “
