August 23, 2019 – 3rd Grade Teacher’s Notes
Our first full week:
It was an excellent first full week of school! We continued to practice procedures and routines and dove into learning in all subjects. Students learned about the investigation process scientists use to help them answer questions.
I like to get student work graded as soon as possible so that they get immediate feedback. It also provides a good opportunity to go over any concepts that they may not fully understand. Grades will be updated each week on TADS. I will normally enter them into TADS on Sundays. Please contact the office if you have any questions or concerns with TADS.
We will switch off between science and social studies this week. Students will learn how to use maps and globes next week in social studies.
The Unit two spelling test and memory assessment for Ephesians 4:32 will be on Friday, August 30th, 2019.
Be on the lookout sometime this weekend for our first Table Talk!
Please sign-up and join ClassTag. A code was sent out last week via email for this. Please let me know if you need any help or have any questions!
Students will bring their planner, green homework folder, and a reading book home each night.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving
one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
There will be a colored dot placed at the bottom of each day in the planner. This will help you see how your child’s day went.
I will do my best to write down the reason why your child ended up on a certain color near the colored dot each day as well.
