December 14, 2018 – Kindergarten Teacher’s Notes
We sure had fun with our little elf, reviewing the five senses as we did. The children enjoyed preparing a teeny, tiny elf snack each day. Thanks for sending the treats in for our Elf Party on Friday. The elf books will be in your child’s school bag today.
In reading, we finished the letter Ee and started the letter Yy. Our new Word Wall Word is you. We also added other phonetic words, too. The children have developed a very nice routine working with the letters each week. Remember to practice both kinds of reading books as soon as they are sent home. Now might be a good time to review all the books that have come home as well.
We have begun writing two digit numbers in math—the “teens”. We have also started simple adding and measurement.
See you at the Wildcat Christmas Lunch on Sunday, followed by our Christmas service in the church. The children have been practicing and are ready to tell you the good news of our Savior’s birth. You are welcome to worship with us as well at the 10:45 am service. Check the weekly newsletter for more information.
Just a reminder that school goes until 11:30 dismissal on Wednesday. We will worship together at 8:30 and I hear the Kindergarten children will be playing an instrument in that service—another great way to praise God! Please join us in worship if you are able. Our K-2 Christmas event begins at 10:00 and you are welcome to join us then as well. Please pick your child up in our room at 11:30.
There will not be a class newsletter next week so I want to be sure and wish you a Blessed Christmas!
