January 10, 2020 – PK3 Teacher’s Notes

Dear Parents,

We have had an amazing week back at school. I missed your precious children over the break and am so happy to be back. This has been a fun week where we have enjoyed our reading about Jesus learning in the Temple and with our theme of SNOW (we can hope right?!). Here are some highlights from our week:

  • sharing with our friends in circle time about our activities over the Christmas break
  • painting snowflakes made out of coffee filters with water colors and droppers
  • reviewing numbers with glittery playdough
  • strengthening our fine motor skills by scooping snow (cotton balls) into buckets at our sensory table
  • creating a giant snowflake out of paper that we ripped (fine motor/pre-writing)
  • matching mittens by color and pattern
  • reading lots of great books about snow

Upcoming Events

Monday, January 20-MLK Day NO SCHOOL

Thursday, January 23 & Friday January 24-NO SCHOOL FOR PRESCHOOL-Early Childhood conference for Preschool teachers

Next week we will learn about Jesus’ Baptism and continue with our theme of snow with some fun experiments.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I am so thankful for all of you!

Blessings,
Amy Ayotte
