January 10, 2020 – 5th Grade Teacher’s Notes
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I pray you had a relaxing Christmas break as you spent time with your family. It is certainly good to be back at school and back in a routine. I have enjoyed hearing all the fun Christmas break stories and seeing all the smiling faces. I missed them!
A SPECIAL THANK YOU to everyone who helped out with our Christmas party. Not only was it fun for the kids, but it was well planned… a teacher’s dream! Thanks also for cleaning up at the end. It started my break off on a good note. I appreciate all you do for us her at Our Redeemer.
AUCTION SHIRTS went home on Wednesday. From now until the auction, Fridays are auction shirts or uniform only. Students are not to wear spirit shirts until Friday, February 28.
Things to Know:
For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
What has Satan used to try to separate you from God?
Next week, we will begin a new writing project. Students will write about a New Year’s Resolution they’d like to make for the year 2020 and also an action plan on how to achieve that goal. If you have a specific goal you’d like your child to write about, please be sure to discuss it with him/her.
