In addition to our daily class instruction in spelling, phonics/grammar, and reading/literature, Our Redeemer offers several clubs to allow students with interest in this area to further advance their academic interests. They are:

Sip & Read Book Club
This club meets once a week in September, November, January, and March. Participants enjoy tea and lively book discussion (1st through 3rd grade students).

Three If By Tea Book Club
This club meets once a week in October, December, February, and April. Participants enjoy tea and lively book discussion (4th through 6th grade students).

Accelerated Reader
This national program enriches our core curriculum. The program allows for excellent differentiation since students select books based on their reading ability and can read to a point level goal that matches their skill level (1st through 6th grade students).

Creative Writing Club
This club meets once a week from November through March. The club is designed to promote creativity and encourage writing skills at an early age. Using a prompt of 5 pictures, students have approximately 30 minutes to create an original story based on the pictures (1st through 2nd grade students).

Ready Writing Club
This club meets once a week from November through March. This club brings challenge for the gifted writer. Students are given a choice between two prompts. Each prompt defines the audience and provides or implies the purpose for writing (3rd through 6th grade students).

Advanced Placement Spelling
By meeting certain academic requirements, students are permitted to receive spelling words from a more advanced list. This allows students to challenge themselves academically (3rd through 6th grade students starting 2019-2020 school year).
