This brings us to the end of the third quarter. I have completed testing for each child and report cards will be available soon. Please remember there is a parent teacher conference day scheduled for Friday, March 27th. This is an optional conference but I would be happy to meet with all of you to discuss your child’s progress if you wish. Remember to sign up on the Sign Up Genius if you want a meeting time.
We have completed our math unit on shapes. We will now begin a unit on measurement both with weights and lengths. This unit will continue after the spring break.
Our New Testament stories this week were A Woman Anoints Jesus’ Feet and Tabitha (her other name was Dorcas). The woman anointed Jesus’ feet to show how much she loved him. She washed them first and then put on expensive lotion. Tabitha showed her love for Jesus by using her talents to sew clothes for many people. Bible Words: Share with God’s people who are in need. Romans 12:13 I challenged the children to talk to their families and think of ways they could help others who are less fortunate than us.
Our new reading words are two and when. We are also working on the digraph sound /sh/ as in shark. Be sure your child is doing some kind of reading practice each day/night—Word Ring, past books, current book we are on, or some other book you have at home or get from a library. And don’t forget to read to your child every day, too!
**Amazing Discovery** We tried putting cutie oranges in cups of water. One was peeled, one was not. Guess what happened!
Our Top Dog was Harper. Harper’s favorite book is Pinkalicious. She likes cooking at home with her mommy. At school, she likes friends and learning about Jesus.
Happy Spring Break!
