March 6, 2020 – 5th Grade Teacher’s Notes
3rd Quarter Ends
Parent/Teacher Conferences (No School)
No school (Good Friday)
No School (Easter Monday)
We started our Black History Month speeches today. Students are presenting to both 5th and 6th graders, as well as listening to the 6th grade presentations as well. Mrs. Scott and I are so impressed with the students’ work on this project. Not only have the presenters been awesome, but the students have been an excellent audience to their peers.
Things to Know:
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2
Reflection: Write about someone in your life who encourages your faith.
**Memory will be tested on March 14.**
On Friday, March 6 we started a new novel in 5th grade. I intentionally picked a funny collection of short stories in order for us to finish before spring break. We will read Sideways Stories from Wayside School this week. We will start MY FAVORITE novel when we return!!!!
