March 6, 2020- 6th Grade Teacher’s Notes
Literature-We are continuing QAour intriguing new novel, The Westing Game. The students are really enjoying it right now.
English-We have started Unit 8- Nouns. We will be discussing direct objects, predicate nominatives, indirect objects, and prepositions in the upcoming days.
6th Grade Social Studies-We are starting our African American speeches today and will wrap them up on Monday. I am extremely excited to hear how well the students did! Next week we will take a pause with our newspapers and do a focus study on an Asian country. It will be a nice wrap up to 3rd quarter.
6th Math-We are continuing in Unit E which covers Measurement and Data. In Topic 15, the students are learning about Measures of Center and Variation. (Mean, Median, variability, interquartile range, and some different types of graphs.) It looks like there will be a test either Wednesday or Thursday of next wee
AR Goals-Last day to take a test is March 13th!
