Music

In addition to the music classes in our main curriculum, students can choose from a variety of other opportunities to enhance their choice of musical expression.

Piano Keyboarding Level One – This school year weekly club allows students to work in a group setting as they learn how to read music and play the keyboard in preparation for upcoming performances (2nd and 3rd grade students).

Piano Keyboarding Level Two – This school year weekly club allows students to work in a group setting as they continue to improve o their keyboarding skills and explore more difficult piano pieces in preparation for upcoming performances (3rd grade students).

Choir – This school year weekly group allows students to learn to read music, explore music theory, and sing several times a week as they prepare for their upcoming performances (3rd through 6th grade students).

Recorder – Students receive instruction learning the recorder along with their classmates. This class will teach how to put their mind to something in order to improve. By working toward the specific goal of learning a song, students learn perseverance, discipline and dedication to a task (4th grade students).

Private String Instrument Lessons – This school year weekly club allows students to work one-on-one with an amazing instructor.  Students will learn how to read music and play the string instrument of their choice. (PK4 through KinderBridge with parent present & Kindergarten through 6th grade students).

Private Voice – Students work one-on-one or in a small group with an amazing instructor.  Students must be a member of the choir and have had at least one year of choir experience (3rd through 6th grade students).

Private Woodwind/Brass/Percussion – This school year weekly club allows students to work one-on-one with an amazing instructor.  Students will learn how to read music and play the instrument of their choice. (3rd through 6th grade students).

Bells – Students learn to read music, explore music theory, and practice their bells several times a week as they prepare for their upcoming performances (5th and 6th grade students).
