October 11, 2019 – 5th Grade Teacher’s Notes
The first quarter has come to a close! It is hard to believe that 25% of our year has been completed. It has been fun to watch these students grow mature over these last few month. One of my greatest joys has been watching them grow as leaders. I have been so impressed by their willingness and eagerness to help not only younger students, but peers in need. This is truly a caring and loving group of children, which tells me so much about your parenting! Thank you for your commitment to them in this area.
If you have not done so already, please be sure to use the sign up genius to register for a conference time. Conferences will be held on Friday, October 18. There will be no school on this day, but Kids Club is available. Please be sure to sign up for Kids’ Club in the office if you need it for that day.
Monday, October 14-
Things to Know:
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10
REFLECTION: What gift do you have that can be used to God’s glory? How do you use it to glorify Him?
Math 5 will have a test covering Topic 3 on Tuesday. Students will be studying using a practice test on Friday. We will review for the test in class on Friday.
Did you catch the ending of Esperanza Rising from your student? The students really seemed to enjoy this book! A recurring theme throughout the book, was mountains and valleys. I enjoyed talking with students how God uses our mountains to bring us out of the valleys. It is such a blessing to be at a Lutheran School where we can talk about God and His word!
