God blessed us with a HOT but fun day. What a BlastFest! The children had a great time and we are so thankful for the parents who jumped in to help our teachers make the day a success. The number of children and families was amazing. We blasted over 175 rockets into the air and served over 250 snow cones. I love the jump-in-and-help-out spirit of our Wildcat families and students. You are family, and you make this place special.
Please remember, as printed in the school calendar, next week has only 3 class days. Monday, October 14, is Columbus Day. Kids’ Club is available and the email to sign up was already sent out. It just involves a reply to Ms. Schwarze at schooloffice@ordallas.org. If you are going to drop-in, availability will be first come first serve. If you are taking your family to the state fair, we hope you have a wonderful experience.
Also, Friday, October 18, is your Parent/Teacher conference. Check out the next page for the link if you are running late in setting that up. The same SignUpGenius link will also help you register for Kids’ Club that day.
A special thank you to all the moms who joined us for Muffins with Mom as well as all the Dads who joined us for the Dad’s Club event on Wednesday night. There are more fun events planned during second quarter, including the next Dad’s Club event on October 24 from 6-8pm at Oak Highlands Brewery and the Doughnuts with Dads event at 7:45am on November 8.
In God’s Grace,
Corey Moss
