October 11, 2019 – 3rd Grade Teacher’s Notes
TTWC: Students were able to complete their cereal box reading project. I love the creativity, thought, and details they put into each part of the project. Their work is awesome and I can’t wait for you to see their finish product!
Grit: Our focus on grit and a growth mindset was tied with looking at Scripture about this topic. Students got to discuss what each verse meant to them with their group.
Social Studies: It was a fair-tastic week in Social Studies! Students worked in groups to create new things they would include in the Texas State Fair.
Literature: We will do a mini unit on the Who Would Win series. Students will read a variety of these books and will be able to create their very own version of a Who Would Win book!
The unit nine spelling test and memory assessment for Romans 1:16 will be on Thursday, October 17th, 2019.
Grades: Grades will be finalized early next week so that report cards can be completed.
No School: Monday, October 14th, 2019 due to Columbus Day.
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Friday, October 18th, 2019.
Field Trip: Friday, October 25th, 2019 to Dallas Heritage Village.
