Matt Babisak
Director of Student Development & Athletics
I serve as both an athletic trainer and educator, and this year marks my 18th in education. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Athletic Training. I’m a Licensed Athletic Trainer in the state of Texas and a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association. I’m also an American Heart Association BLS Instructor.
I teach to help students develop a love for learning and to encourage them to reach their God-given potential. What brings me the most joy is watching that growth unfold over the course of a school year—academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
My favorite Bible verse is John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” It’s a verse that reminds me daily of the foundation of my faith and purpose.
When it comes to life’s challenges, I live by a simple but powerful motto: Don’t give up or give in when faced with adversity.
A few fun facts: I’m left-handed when writing, eating, and using scissors—but I throw and shoot right-handed. In my free time, I enjoy woodworking, gardening, reading, traveling, and collecting whiskey.
What I love most about Our Redeemer is the genuine joy and love the staff brings to work each day. I’m grateful to be a part of that spirit and look forward to using my gifts to contribute to the school community.
