I’m Rufina Garcia, and I’ve been blessed to teach at Our Redeemer Lutheran School for the past five years. I chose teaching because I treasure the opportunity to make a lasting impact on a child’s life. It brings me great joy to help students discover their strengths and grow in confidence.

What I love most about teaching is being a safe space for my students. I strive to create a classroom environment where every child feels seen, supported, and valued.

One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 16:8: “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” This verse reminds me to stay rooted in faith no matter the circumstances.

Compassion is the core value that guides me daily. Whether I’m helping a student work through a challenge or cheering them on in their success, I aim to lead with kindness and understanding.

Outside of school, I enjoy serving at church, attending sporting events, and making crafts. A fun fact about me? I have a high caffeine tolerance—coffee keeps me energized and ready for the day!
