Alicia Jahn
Pre-K 2 Teacher
I bring a rich and diverse background to my role at Our Redeemer, where I have been blessed to serve for four years. Before joining this wonderful community, I spent seven years teaching at a Montessori school and homeschooling my own children. Inspired by my life experiences—especially parenting an autistic child—I became an autodidact, immersing myself in learning how children grow, learn, and succeed. I also hold a degree in pattern making for apparel design, a creative foundation that continues to influence my work with young learners.
I find deep joy in making meaningful connections with my students and witnessing their growth over time. I especially love doing art with them and strive to ensure every child feels like a blessing, even on their hard days.
My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 4:19, where Jesus calls His disciples to be “fishers of men”—a daily reminder of the loving guidance I aim to bring into my classroom.
Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading (especially with my church book club), traveling to visit my grown children, exploring museums, practicing yoga, and relaxing with my sketchbook.
I truly feel blessed to be part of this community because of its mission and the wonderful friendships I’ve found here. I love getting to know the families who share their precious children with us.
