Anita Siegers
Garden Teacher
I have served at Our Redeemer for three years, and I have a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with a minor in English. I am also a Certified Dallas County Master Gardener (since 2019).
I bring my passion for nature, sustainability, and lifelong learning into both the classroom and the garden. With a heart for cultivating plants and young minds, I was inspired to teach by my deep desire to share a love for all things that grow, bloom, and nourish us. As a certified Master Gardener, I delight in watching my students enthusiastically grow and taste fruits and vegetables harvested from our school garden.
Before entering the field of education, I co-owned and operated a Dallas restaurant for ten years—an experience that enriched my love for cooking and community. In my free time, I enjoy volunteering, reading, walking, cooking, knitting, and quilting.
My favorite Bible verse, Joshua 24:15 – “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” – reflects my commitment to faith and stewardship. I believe that God gave us this earth to live in and love, and it is our responsibility to protect and enjoy it so that others may do the same. I am continually inspired by the kindness and cooperative spirit of the Our Redeemer staff.
