Jennifer Schenaman
3rd Grade Teacher
I’ve been part of the Our Redeemer family for eight years, and I’m so grateful to serve in a place where faith, learning, and community come together. I hold a B.S. in Elementary Education, a Lutheran Teacher’s Diploma, and an M.Ed. in Special Education. I was drawn to teaching by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children—helping them grow in their faith, academics, and life skills.
What I love most about teaching is building strong, positive relationships with students, families, staff, and our community—and making learning fun along the way! My teaching philosophy is rooted in the Fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I believe these are essential in our walk with God and in our everyday interactions. Helping students strengthen their communication with God and others is a core part of what I do.
Outside the classroom, I love adventure and exploring God’s creation—whether I’m traveling near or far, kayaking, walking, or discovering new coffee shops. I enjoy music, creativity, concerts, sporting events, and collecting unique magnets from my travels. I have a twin brother, and some of my favorite places to visit are Nashville and Charleston. What I love most about Our Redeemer is the strong sense of fellowship and the joy of truly knowing and walking alongside our families and students.
