Latin Teacher
I grew up in Coleman, TX, a small town about 50 miles south of Abilene. I earned a bachelor of arts from Harvard University. After one year at the University of Texas Law School, I decided a legal career was not for me. So, from law to Gospel, I went on to prepare for the ministry of the Word at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, earning both a masters of divinity and a masters of sacred theology. In 2004 God called me back to the Lone Star State to serve as pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, of which I have been the senior pastor since 2008. I love spending time with my wife Jill and daughters Annie and Erin; teaching Latin and leading book clubs at the school; playing tennis and the piano; and listening to old radio shows. I also regard myself a serious Swiftie (Jonathan, not Taylor).
