Rebeca Maldonado
Pre-K 4 Teacher
My name is Rebeca Maldonado, and I have been teaching for 7 years. I hold a CDA in Infants and Toddlers and will be starting classes this fall to pursue my degree in Early Education. My inspiration to become a teacher comes from my mother—she always dreamed of teaching but never had the chance. Although I originally earned certifications in the medical field, I fell in love with teaching, in part as a tribute to her. I am passionate about planting seeds for the next generation and being an active part of their growth.
Psalm 23:4 guides me in this work: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff—they comfort me.”
I strive to teach kindness and acceptance, showing children that even though we may look different, everyone deserves fairness and compassion. Outside the classroom, I love to read or listen to audiobooks, and I have a knack for pottery. I’m also a talented singer—having participated in chorus throughout elementary and high school, I even performed in shows! I truly enjoy being part of a community of colleagues who share a strong faith and help each other grow.
