KinderBridge is Available for the first time in the 2021-2022 School Year!
Do you have a student who seems ready for Kindergarten, but turns 5 shortly after September 1st? Or do you have a student who is old enough for Kindergarten, but you feel would benefit from another year of preparation? Our Redeemer’s KinderBridge transitional kindergarten program may be right for your child!
Why KinderBridge?
The KinderBridge Program is more academically rigorous than our Pre-K4 program and is mindful of the Kindergarten goals. Our teaching also begins to implement the expectations of kindergarten as it pertains to self-help and social-emotional skill. For some students, it is truly the “gift of an extra year”.
Many children with late spring and summer birthdays who have an extra year to mature are able to emerge as leaders among their peers and build the confidence and healthy learning perspectives that are necessary for a life-long love of learning.
For this new program, ORLS includes the following focus areas:
- Language – phonics, literacy and communication
- Mathematics
- Creative arts
- Social and emotional development
- Physical development and health
- Science
- Social Studies
- Bible stories
KinderBridge is available as a half day (8:30 am to 11:30 am) or full day (8:30 am to 3:30 pm)program. To be eligible for KinderBridge, students must be 5 years old by Dec. 1.
