Academics is front at center at Our Redeemer. The focus for our lower elementary grades is on establishing solid foundations in reading and math. Upper elementary grades have more rigorous assignments that help them hone their skills as independent and self-reliant learners. Our private school environment means that students receive customized attention where they need it. Here is a sample of our curriculum.

Our elementary program is a ministry of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Dallas.  We share the message of God’s love and Christ’s redemption with all of our students and their families. Students learn Bible verses, stories and parables in all grades through regular communion with the Bible and weekly chapel service.

A culture that favors commercialism over compassion doesn’t always have the best influence on our students. That’s why we incorporate our character development program, Wildcat Wills, at every level of our school.  Students spend time each week discussing the featured character trait of the month.  Teachers weave these concepts into daily activities so students can practice, observe and recognize these traits in themselves and others.

Expanding on our core curriculum, we offer a variety of enrichment subjects, activities, and clubs through enrichment strands.  These 10 enrichment strands include public speaking, arts, athletics, academic clubs and more.   By offering a broad selection of opportunities, we allow a family to customize their child’s educational experience.

As a private school, we understand the educational value of unique experiences. Field trips and celebrations make lessons more memorable.  Visiting museums, heritage sites and outdoor venues enable students to engage with content in a variety of ways. The same goes for celebrations and fun days focused around a core concept. These activities also bring levity and variety to the school year creating joy in anticipating each event.
